Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPATRICK W.D. HUNT February 16, 1951 - January 15, 2002 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend, Patrick on Tuesday, January 15, 2002 at Riverview Health Centre. Patrick was a devoted family man and leaves to mourn his wife of 25 years, Susan (Sharpe) sons, Cole and Dan; and daughter Anjolene. Patrick was predeceased by his father Douglas. He is survived by his mother Eloise; brothers, Brian (Dianna), Rob; and sister Nora (Rick) nieces, Aileen and Lisa; and nephew Michael. Also dearly missed by Susans family: mother Eileen; brothers, Gord (Christa), Dave (Elaine), Rob (Nicole), Bill (Kathi), Brian (Patti), Don (Tracy), Doug (Heather) and sister Marilyn (Robin) nieces and nephews, Jocelyn, Debbie, Dylan, Sam, Heather, Michael, Colin, Kim, Laura, Derek, Jacquie, Ryan, Avery, Hailey, Selene, Thomas, Teegan, Tessa, Lindsay, Dylaney. Pat was born and raised in Winnipeg, attending Kelvin High and the U of M. He became a teacher and taught at Tyndall Park and Stanley Knowles Schools. He made many friends among his colleagues, who have been so kind and loyally stayed by him during his battle with brain cancer. Patrick was a great teacher and exceptional human being, devoted to learning. He was a talented musician, sports enthusiast, artist, great friend and neighbour and a lover of life. He loved to spend time at the lake, a childhood cottage at Lake of the Woods and more recently at Ponemah Beach. He will be greatly missed by a rich network of many fine friends who rallied around him. So many devoted their time to helping care for Pat and keep his hope and spirits up. The past year was made bearable by the contributions of help by unbelievably generous family, friends, neighbours and colleagues. This amazing goodwill was a godsend that will always be remembered. Thank you all. A celebration of Patricks life will be held on Sunday, January 20 at 2:30 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1501 Waverley St., with Rev. Don McIntyre officiating. In keeping with Pats wishes, a trust fund has been set up for his childrens education. If friends so desire, donations can be made at Assiniboine Credit Union, 1033 St. Marys Rd., Winnipeg, MB.
