EDWIN REUBEN PARKER Edwin (Ed) Reuben Parker passed away peacefully at Fred Douglas Lodge, on Sunday, January 13, 2002. Ed was born April 24, 1910, in Biggar, SK where he farmed for a number of years before joining the CNR with the Bridge and Building Division. Ed was the groundskeeper, woodcutter and all-round handyman for his nephews, Bruce and Keith Routley. When not at the cottage he spent many hours at Bleak House playing bridge and visiting with friends. Ed was very generous to a great many of his nieces and nephews, helping in any way he could. He was predeceased by his brothers, Jim and Stuart; sisters, Caroline, Lorena, Ida; and his parents. Ed leaves to mourn his sister Nellie Louisa Routley, and a great many nieces, nephews and their families. On behalf of Ed, the family would like to thank the staff at Fred Douglas Lodge and in particular Lorraine Clark and other care givers on Willow Wing. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 19 at 9:30 a.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Interment in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre.
