KENNETH H. ALLEN 1911 - 2002 Peacefully on Saturday, January 12 at Grace Hospital, at the age of 90. Ken was predeceased by sister Kae Vanderpont and is survived by two sisters, Edna Molnar and Ethel Rivest of Ontario; as well as his children, Evelyn (Arnie) Jepsen of BC, Ken (Lorene) Allen and Jim (Vicky) Allen of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Larry (Patti) Jepsen, Brooke (Danny) Jakobs, of BC and Lee (Chris) Jepsen, Janine (Jason) Allen, and Tommy Allen of Winnipeg; great-grandchildren, Colin, Carly, Katie, Kristjan, Nikolaas, Carson, Alexander and Paige; and many nieces and nephews. He will also be lovingly remembered by his "adopted family" Vicki, Jerry, Lisa and Laura Fostey. Kenneth came to Canada as a boy and lived and worked on the family farm near Dufresne until moving to Winnipeg where he was a milkman for Modern Dairies. He told many stories of his years delivering milk - first with a horse and wagon and later with a truck. Papa Allen was happiest when holding a baby in his arms and was more than willing to "mind" the children. His apartment was filled with pictures of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He lived on his own until December of last year and loved his scooter and his independence. Thank you to the many Home Care workers, especially Debbie, who helped him in his final months and to the staff at the Grace Hospital. Cremation has taken place and according to Kenneths wishes there will be no formal service. Donations in Kenneths memory may be made to the "Sunshine Fund", 194A Sherbrooke St., Winnipeg, R3C 2B7, Kenneths favourite cause, to enable more children to go to camp in the summer. Arrangements entrusted to: WOJCIKS 2157 Portage Ave. 897 - 4665
