Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEUNICE ALMA WILT It is with deepest sorrow we announce the passing of our dear sister, mother and grandmother Eunice Alma Wilt on Wednesday, January 16 , 2002, at Tuxedo Villa Nursing Home at the age of 80 years. Eunice will be lovingly remembered by her sisters, Ruth and Hazel; and brother Mark; by her children, Frances (John), Paul, Garth (Brenda) and Dianne (Keith) by her beloved grandchildren, Joel, Anna, James and Rachel; and by many in-laws, nephews, nieces and dear friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Stanley and Rachel Rigby; by her brothers, Milton and Gerald; and by her husband John (Jack). Eunice was born on the family farm in Killarney in 1921, and had many very happy memories of her early life on the farm. She graduated as a nurse from the Victoria General Hospital in 1944, and it was at the "old Vic" where she met and then married Jack. It was also at the Vic where Eunice made many lifelong friendships. Eunice and Jack raised their young family of four in Norwood and then in River Heights. Most of all, Eunice wanted to be a mother, and she loved being part of a family! The most treasured times for Eunice were those when she was with her family whether it involved family picnics and dinners, vacations at Minaki, or all of the many wonderful trips to New Zealand, Vancouver and England. Eunice had many avid interests which included needlepoint, weaving and gardening. She loved to read and was passionate about opera and all lovely music. Eunice loved her volunteer work, and was an enthusiastic member of the St. Agnes Guild and volunteered at the Childrens Hospital for many years. She developed many strong friendships through her volunteer work. Eunice will be remembered for her great love of family and friends and for her true interest in others! We will miss her deeply and cherish her memory forever! The family extends their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Pearlman, to Eunices companions, and to all the staff at Tuxedo Villa, especially to Station Three for their wonderful and loving care. We will remember all the kindnesses! A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 21 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. James Anglican Church, 195 Collegiate, St. James. The Rev. John Caird will officiate. Donations may be made to the Childrens Hospital Foundation of Manitoba, 501-840 Sherbrook, Winnipeg, MB, R3A 1S1; or, to Sleeping Children Around the World, 28 Pinehurst Crescent, Islington, ON, M9A 3A5. May You Rest In Peace, Mom! THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
