ANN KOBEL On January 17, 2002, Ann Kobel passed away peacefully at Concordia Hospital with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her parents; seven brothers; and her husband. Ann was born in the Vita, MB area, and at a young age moved to Toronto, where she met and married her husband Steve Kobel. They resided there until their retirement and moved back to their roots in the Vita area in 1978, where they both enjoyed nature and gardening until her husbands demise in 1987. She then moved to Winnipeg, where she enjoyed the rest of her life. She will be sadly missed by all her family for her great sense of humour, her incredible wit (you could never pull the wool over her eyes), her knowledge of politics, her love and zest for life, her positive attitude, and her compassion for others. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 25 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Cremation has taken place with interment at a later date.
