Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHLEEN ISABEL ANDERSON (nee RIDDLE) Peacefully passed away at 107 years, 8 months on January 18, 2002 at the Golden West Centennial Lodge. Kathy is survived by her family, Ingrid (Camille) Alarie, Helen Heatley, Wallace (Mae), Andy (Pat), Bertha (Dawson) Risbey and Joan (Wayne) Link; 36 grandchildren; 77 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law Gladys and seven nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her parents Belle and James Riddle, her first husband Gust and her brother Bob Riddle, nephew David Roddick and step-daughter Lily Johnson. Kathy was born in Cinderford, England on April 30, 1894. She came to Canada with her family in 1912 and worked on the family farm in Brandon. In 1946 she came to Winnipeg where she met and married Gust Anderson and had three happy years together. Kathy loved caring for the sick and elderly in the nursing homes where she worked for a number of years. She loved knitting, crocheting, embroidering and making tea parties for her grandchildren. In 1958, she married Magni Anderson, they had many happy times camping and in 1968 returning for a visit to their homelands, England and Sweden. A service is being held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. on Sunday, January 20 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place at the Brandon Hills Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Kathys memory to the Golden West Centennial Lodge, 811 School Rd., Winnipeg, MB, R2Y 0S8.
