STANLEY J. BYSPALKO 1945 - 2002 After a courageous battle with cancer and with the love and support of family and friends, Stan passed away January 20, 2002 at the age of 56. He was predeceased by his mother Stella in 1979, his father Joseph in 1975, and his beloved brother Mike in 1993. Stan leaves to mourn his wife Beverly; his stepchildren, Brenda, Randy, and Donna; and grandchildren, Lisa, Pam, Ryen and Riley. He will also be dearly missed by his sisters, Anne (Bill) Traudt of Castor, AB, and Fran (Doug) Goulsbra of Winnipeg; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Jones, Linda (Gerri) Demski; and brother-in-law John (Linda) Bakalak; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Stan was born in Preeseville, SK in 1945 and moved to Swan River in 1952 where he spent his early years until arriving in 1969 in Winnipeg to pursue his career as a truck driver. At the time of his illness he was employed by Neil Birkett & Sons. One of Stans greatest passions was flying model airplanes, and the members of the Big Sky Flying Club will sorely miss him. The family wishes to thank Dr. Kirk and the staff at the Palliative Care Unit of Riverview Health Centre for their unwavering support of Stan and the family during this difficult period. We would also like to give special thanks to his nurse, Myrna. Honorary pallbearers are John Bakalak, Robert Birkett, Donnie Byspalko, Doug Goulsbra, Michael Rosko, Randy Rudachek, Gary Tulman, and Peter Von Zubn. Funeral service will be held Friday, January 25 at 7:00 p.m., with viewing one half-hour prior to service, in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. A private family interment will be held Monday, January 28 at Chapel Lawn. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Stans memory to the Riverview Health Centre. Arrangements entrusted to: VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME 220 HESPELER AVE. 668-3151
