AUSTIN MILO (AL) FARNELL It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Al, on Monday, January 21, 2002, at his residence at the age of 87 years. Leaving to forever cherish his memory are his wife Rose; stepchildren, Janet Collins (Len) and Bob Horner (Roberta) four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one sister Allie Doney of Moose Jaw, SK; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents and one brother Dick. Al was born in Moose Jaw on April 24, 1915, and has resided in Winnipeg since his return from serving overseas during the Second World War. He married Rose in 1951, and they have resided in Kirkfield Park for the last 51 years. He was a quiet, unassuming man, and it was his wish that no funeral service be held.
