LAURA LILLIAN MINTER (nee BARNETT) March 31, 1932 - January 21, 2002 Change in Time of Service Embraced by love, witnessed by her family, our mother, held by the hand of God, left us Monday, January 21, 2002. Her family will profoundly feel the absence of her presence. (Children, Debbie, (John), Susan, (Kevin), Maureen (Jerry), Harry (Joanne). Laura was predeceased by her husband Ronald Minter in 1993. She will be reunited with Ron; her parents; siblings, Tom, Frank, Helen and Kay. She will be remembered by her brothers, Alf, Herb, Ted, and Don; and her sisters, Millie and Diane. Memories of Grandma will be cherished by her grandchildren, Ron, Kelly, Laura, Phillip, Scott, Abbey, Sean, Jeff, Morgan, Malorie, Thomas, and her great-granddaughter Riley. Except for a brief period in 1968 while living in Nigeria, Africa, Laura resided in Winnipeg. Laura enjoyed a career in the nursing field, however, her main priority was always family. After a courageous battle, our earthly angel has found her way home; she struggled to stay, not wanting to leave us alone. She was needed in heaven; it is easy to see, gone for now from you and me. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, January 25 at Holy Trinity Church, 256 Smith St., at 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers, friends may make a donation in her memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3. The family wishes to express sincere thanks to Dr. Darcy Johnson and the staff of the oncology ward at Concordia Hospital. KNYSH FUNERAL CHAPEL 582-0973
