Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPH STANLEY TRIPPIER On Monday, January 21, 2002, after a courageous battle with cancer, we announce the passing of our husband, father and grandfather, Joseph Stanley Trippier. Stan was born on October 3, 1946 to James and Ingrid Trippier of Petersfield. After overcoming a childhood battle with asthma, Stan went on to become a Journeyman Electrician, leading to a 30-year career with Amsco Cast Products. In his spare time his greatest form of relaxation was tending to his farm and cattle. He was well known for his generosity and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Stans biggest accomplishment was living to become a grampa to his first grandchild, Sidney Louise. Stan leaves to mourn his beloved wife Carol; daughter Patty (Keith) son Trevor, granddaughter Sidney; goddaughter Ingrid; brothers and sisters, Ted (Margie, Katie, Jamie) Trippier; Helen Heidman, Jenny (David) Bjornson, Richard (Lindsey) Trippier and Elsie (Larry) Brisson. He also leaves his great-aunts and uncles, Ed and Doreen Karlson and Stan and Madge Wick; as well as many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins too numerous to mention. Stan was predeceased by his mother, father and brother Jack. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, January 23 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 24 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Georges Anglican Church, Wakefield, MB, with Rev. Canon Godfrey Mawejje officiating. Interment to follow in the churchyard cemetery. His pallbearers will be Doug Aimie, Rick Wiens, Alfie Schalk, Merv Gudmundson, Bobbie Poitras and Dug Scramstead. Thanks to Dr. Harris, Dr. Demsas, Dr. Lindenschmidt and all the loving and caring nurses and staff at the Selkirk General Hospital, and special thanks to Bev, Heidi, Sandra and Trudy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, CancerCare Manitoba or the charity of your choice. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, in care of arrangements.
