BARBARA KOWBEL It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our wife, mother, grandmother and sister on January 22, 2002. Barbara Lorenia Jeanette (nee Fraser) Kowbel, aged 64, quietly during sleep Mom went to eternal rest. She will be greatly missed by her beloved husband of 39 years Ed, daughters, Lorenia (Michael) Luhowy, and Kerri (Erin) Deller; very special memories will be cherished by her grandchildren, Rachael, Raylene and Erik who brought such joy to their grandmother. Also left to mourn is her brother Marvin (Elsie) Fraser, and many nephews, nieces, family, and very close friends. Barbara is predeceased by her parents, Donald and Agnes Fraser; and her Aunty Kay. Barbara was born on October 9, 1937 in Steinbach, MB. She graduated from Success Business College as a secretary and worked at McCabe Grain Co. Ltd. until the arrival of her family. Barbara loved to read books, knit, and cooking. Her parties, laughter and love of life will be greatly missed. Funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, January 28 at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Visitation will be held one-half hour prior to the service time.
