Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTHEODORE (FRED) MELESHKO Suddenly, on Thursday, January 24, 2002, our beloved husband and father passed away at the age of 79 years. Theodore was born on October 12, 1923 at selo Malniv, rayon Mostyska in Western Ukraine. He immigrated to Canada in 1949 and resided in Winnipeg. Here he met his loving wife Stefania and were married in 1952. He started his employment with Nelson River Construction for 16 years as a machine operator, then for CP Rail Diesel Shop as a machinist for 22 years until retiring in 1988. He was a member of Christ the King Parish, Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral, Ukrainian Canadian Institute Prosvita and Institute Prosvitas Seniors Club. Theodore was predeceased by his parents, Katherine and Iwan; four cousins, Nick Meleshko, Annie Fudali, Harry Meleshko and Pete Meleshko. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Stefania; son Terry (Taras) cousins, Mike Meleshko (Arborg), Kay Meleshko (Winnipeg) and close friend of the family Steve Horon (East Selkirk). He will always be remembered by his family and friends for his kind heart, generosity and gentle humour. The family would like to kindly thank the fine staff at Health Sciences Centre and Seven Oaks Hospital for their superior care during his last moments of his life. Panachyda (prayers) will be sung 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 28 at Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral, 115 McGregor St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 29, also at the Cathedral. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
