Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGERALD (GERRY) WILLIAM SCHEIFFERT 1941 - 2002 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Gerald Scheiffert while vacationing in Mexico. His wife Beverley, sister Darlene and brother-in-law Eugene were by his side. Left to mourn Gerrys passing are his wife Beverley; sisters, Marie (Don) and Darlene (Eugene) three daughters, Cara (David), Kim (Mike) and Kathy (Glen) four grandchildren, Tyler, Matthew, Jenna and Amanda as well as numerous other family members. Gerry was predeceased by his father, William Scheiffert in 1988; his mother Doris Scheiffert in 1990 and infant grandson Christopher in 1999. Gerald was born in Regina on March 23, 1941. He graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1966 and two years later obtained the designation of Chartered Accountant. In 1971 Gerry commenced employment in Regina with the federal government (Consulting and Audit Canada) and was still with them at the time of his passing. He also kept busy with a private accounting and tax preparation business. While a student at the University of Saskatchewan Gerry met his wife of 36 years, Beverley Macfarlane. The two were married in Estevan, SK in August of 1965. Their triplet daughters were born in 1969. The family was relocated from Regina to Winnipeg in 1977 where they settled in North Kildonan. Gerry held a lifelong love for being on the water that started at a young age while a naval cadet. His greatest passion in life was the cottage at Lac du Bonnet where he spent cherished time with his family, especially his grandchildren. The family would like to thank Darlene and Gene for supporting Mom while down in Mexico. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 30 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., Winnipeg, interment will follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN EDEN FUNERAL HOME 4477 MAIN STREET 338-7111
