NATE GILFIX February 28, 1924 - January 26, 2002 With deep sorrow we announce the passing of Nate Gilfix. Nate passed away peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit at the St. Boniface Hospital. Graveside service will be held on Sunday, January 27 at 2:30 p.m. at the Rosh Pina Memorial Park. Nate is survived by Riva his wife of 49 years; sons, Murray and Perry; daughters-in-law, Selma and Andrea; grandchildren, Daniel, Greg, Lindsay, and Michael; brother Burt and sister-in-law Vi; mother-in-law Tanya Roseman; and many nephews, nieces and cousins. Nate was born in Winnipeg. He attended St. Johns High School. He left high school to work at Oretzkis Department Store to help sup November. Special thanks to Mary Ashcroft and palliative care and theport his family. He served with the RCAF overseas during the Second World War. After returning home, he opened a grocery store which he ran with his brother until 1956. At that time he and his father-in-law Ben Roseman started Modern Headwear, where he was active until his health began to fail in home care staff. Donations can be made to the Prostate Cancer Support Group.
