Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY JANE HUDSON (nee GUNN) (JEAN) March 26, 1935 - January 25, 2002 Suddenly at her daughters home, Jean Hudson passed away at the age of 66. Moms doors were always open and everyone was welcome, whom she catered to. She was always surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and quite frequently spoke of how they made her very happy. She was a wonderful mom not only to her immediate family, but to everyone that knew her. She was predeceased by her husband Ambrose Hudson on September 20, 1990; step-mother Annie Sinclair, 2001; brother Alex Gunn, 1998; sister Clara Gunn, 1999; father Norman Gunn, 1973; mother Rebecca Gunn, 1939; daughter Debbie, 1973; and son Kelly, 1969. She leaves to mourn her passing eight daughters and five sons, Beatrice Ross and husband John of Berens River, Marjorie Hudson and husband Dave of Fisher Branch, Waldina Sutherland and husband Rod of Peguis, Judy Hudson and husband Lionel of Winnipeg, Gertrude Hudson and husband Albert of Winnipeg, Honey Bouchie and husband Gibson of Berens River, Jackie Hudson and friend Randy of Berens River, Margaret Moneyas of Winnipeg, Lloyd Hudson and wife Maxine of Berens River, Norman Hudson and wife Hazel of Berens River, Bruce Hudson and wife Florence of Berens River, Conrad Hudson and wife Velma of Berens River, Paul Hudson and friend Nicole of Berens River. She also leaves behind 46 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Prayers were said on Saturday, January 26 at 7:30 p.m. at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Ave., Winnipeg. Wake services will be held on Sunday, January 27 at the residence of Jackie Hudson, Berens River, Monday, January 28 and Tuesday, January 29 at the Berens River Community Hall. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 30 at 1:00 p.m., also at the Berens River Community Hall with Fr. Rheal officiating. Interment to follow at the Berens River Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Kelly Hudson, Edward Berens, Paul Hudson Jr., Terrance Ross, Desmond Hudson and Terry Hudson. Cross bearer will be Courtney Hudson.
