HILDA ELIZABETH KIRKLAND (nee KEOUGH) Peacefully, on Sunday, January 27, 2002, following a brief illness, Hilda Elizabeth Kirkland passed away with her family by her side at Charleswood Care Centre at the age of 87 years. She was predeceased by her husband William Joseph Kirkland in 1980. Left to cherish her memory are her son Paul (Barbara) their children, Jocelyn and Stephanie; son Craig (Carol), their children, Michael and David; sisters, Helen and Mary (George) brothers, Ted (Clara) and Tom also many nieces and nephews. Hilda was born in Yorkton, SK and lived most of her life in St. James, MB. She moved to Portage La Prairie in 1964, where she raised her stepson Paul, returning Winnipeg in 1980 after the death of her loving husband Bill. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 1 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 2400 Portage Ave., with Rev. Msgr. Ward Jamieson presiding. Private interment will be held at Assumption Cemetery, at a later date.
