MARY McDOUGALL (nee DEBRONI) Peacefully, on Monday, January 28, 2002, Mary, aged 88 passed away at the Grace Hospital. Mary was predeceased by her loving husband Aime; infant son Danny; parents, Irene and Michael; sisters, Cathy and Stella and her loving pet and companion Jackie. She leaves to cherish her memory loving children, Ken (Teri), Darlene (Bob), Wayne (Beth), Bryan (Chris), Diane (Nigel) (Theresa) eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Anne, Sylvia (Maynard), Helen, Rose (Basil) Judy (Mike), Elsie (Wes) brothers, John (Eleanore), Mike (Betty), (Frank) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was born January 17, 1914 and was raised in the farming community of Melville, SK. She subsequently moved to Winnipeg where she met and married Aime McDougall. Upon Aimes return from Europe, where he served in the Second World War, they established their home in the North End of Winnipeg and raised their loving family. Mary was the epitome of love and kindness, often extending a compassionate helping hand to her friends and family. She was an active member of the St. Andrews Ukrainian Catholic Social Club and Womens League and enjoyed the many friendships she established during her Bingo evenings. The family wish to extend their thanks to Dr. Homik and the ICU nurses for their dedication and compassion extended to Mom during her time at Grace Hospital. Mary had a keen sense of humour and an unparalleled zest for life. She will be missed by all that were fortunate enough to have been bathed in her love and beauty. Prayers will be sung 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 30 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. Divine Liturgy celebrating Marys life will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 31 at St. Andrews Ukrainian Catholic Church, 160 Euclid Ave. with Rev. J. Holowaty officiating. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Jerett and Brad Biggs, Brett McDougall, Brent and Allan Myk and Jamie Zalitach.
