BEVERLY IRENE SMIGIEL (nee JOHNSON) We are saddened to announce that after a life-giving journey with and beyond cancer that Beverly Irene Smigiel died peacefully on Monday, January 28, 2002. She was predeceased by her husband Allan. She will be missed by her daughter Donna-Lynn and Shawn Barnett and their children, Ashley, Kristal, and Nicole; her daughter Laura-Lee and Jim Dyck and their children, Lauren, Elena, and Graeme; her son Jason and Paula Smigiel, and their children, Jarett and Benjamin; her son Trevor and Solbeena Smigiel; her mother Ethel Johnson; her brothers and sisters, Edward (Jacqueline), Karen (Robin), Wayne (Sharon), Linnea (Walter), Robert (Shanlee). Mom was wonderful at taking care of her familys needs. We treasure the time we spent together on vacations and at home. Her vibrant personality was infectious and enjoyed by those around her. In face of all of lifes challenges she still held a positive outlook. The courage, strength, and faith she displayed in her life was an inspiration to her friends and family. She will be remembered for the remarkable way in which she lived her life. Nurtz! Prayer Vigil will be said at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 31 at St. Bernadettes Parish, 820 Cottonwood Rd. Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 1 (also at the church). Internment to follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Viewing will take place at 10:30 a.m. until time of service.
