HOWARD (GLEN) CRUIKSHANK On Monday, January 28, 2002, Glen, aged 79 years, passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife Evalina; children, Glenda, Alex, Gayle, and Margaret; five grandchildren, Fred (Jodi), Terri (fiance Don), Will (Karyn), Barb, and Glen; three great-grandchildren, Christopher, Austin, and Kasta; stepmother Alice Cruikshank of Owen Sound, ON; two brothers, Lorne (Marj), and Ross (Marie). He was predeceased by his son Lyle Howard on Friday, December 25, 1992. Glen was born on Friday, March 17, 1922 on his grandparents farm in Waskada, MB. He served in the Canadian Army during the Second World War from 1942 - 1946. Glen married Evalina (nee McKay) on Wednesday, October 8, 1947 in Bowsman, MB. He farmed from 1947 - 1959, he then set up and operated Russell A.I. Cattle Breeders from 1959 - 1975, moving to Roblin in 1967. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 2 at 4:00 p.m. at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Ross, and the staff of the Surgical Medical Ward, Portage General Hospital, with special thanks to the staff of the S.I.C.U., St. Boniface Hospital, for all their care.
