ROSE BORKOWSKY Peacefully on January 31, 2002, Rose, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away at the age of 91 years. She is survived by her daughter, Judy; son, Gary and her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Joan, Luc, Amanda and Rebecca, Vanda and Stephanie, Les, Shannon and family, Bruce, Anne, Cory, Paul and Ashley, Grant, Vienna, Jesse and Dylan, Todd and Susan. She will be missed also by her sisters, Anne, Grace and "Toots" and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Cynthia Martin; son Kenneth Bradley and husband Henry. Rose had quiet faith, courage, generosity and limitless love for giving and caring, sensing the needs of the people around her. Thank you, Mom and Grandma for the joy you are to all the family members, for being a person full of dignity, strength that comes from God, and the heart and soul of this whole family. There was nobody else who made us feel so loved and valued. You are our inspiration. The only time she ever hurt us was when she left us. Thank you to the staff on Apple Tree Lane, Misericordia Place, for all the care and kindness given to Rose during her time there. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 5 at 10:00 a.m. in the Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Parish, 510 River Ave., with the Rev. Fr. Sam Argenziano officiating. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery. A reception will be held at the Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway, following the interment.
