MARY MacMASTER Mary (Mae) MacMaster, widow of Dr. John C. MacMaster, died peacefully on January 30, 2002 at West Park Manor, age 96. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Clare and Bob Hoeschen; four grandsons, Richard, Bruce (Lesley), Vancouver, Michael, New York and John. Also great-grandson Ryan; a sister Jenny in Scotland and sister-in-law Jean MacMaster of Winnipeg. Mae was born in Glasgow, Scotland and immigrated to Canada in 1946. She was a dedicated weekly volunteer for 27 years with the Crippled Children and Adults Society of Manitoba and was also actively involved with Marina Creations, the Inner Wheel of the Rotary Club of Winnipeg, St. Pauls High School Ladies Auxiliary and the former St. Josephs Orphanage. Her contributions were generous and selfless, always choosing to be in the background as an extra pair of hands. Sincere thanks to the caring and supportive West Park Manor staff, especially Elizabeth Greenwood, for the care Mae received during the last seven years of her life.
