MARGARET LICHTI (nee CHYZY) Peacefully on Sunday, January 20, 2002, Margaret Alice Lichti passed away at the age of 49. Beloved wife of Kenneth Lichti, loving mother of Deanna and Nicholas. Cherished daughter of Anne and the late Anton Chyzy. Dear sister of Nick (Emma) and George (Judy). Fondly remembered by nephews, Denis, Dean, Curtis, Anthony, and Devon; nieces, Elizabeth and Stephanie; aunts, Olga Wowk and Irene Chyzy; many cousins, other relatives, and numerous friends. Marge was born in Arborg where she attended school. After graduating from Red River Community College in Computer Programming she worked for MPIC. In 1974, Marge moved to Ottawa where she was employed by the RCMP and later The Bank of Canada. Even with her busy work schedule and family life she still found time to help her family at Chyzy Sales and Service as Office Manager, Controller at John Bradleys Store and Treasurer for the Cumberland Township Agricultural Society. Marge was also a founding, active member and Manager of the Navan Curling Club, plus many other volunteer committees too numerous to mention. A funeral was held Thursday, January 24 at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Shrine in Ottawa. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 9 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Ukrainian Catholic Church in Arborg. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, ON109-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9. Arborg (MacKenzie) Funeral Home, in care of arrangements.
