Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGUERITE ROSALIE McNEILL (nee GENDREAU) March 27, 1929 - February 1, 2002 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grand-mother, Noni, who went to be with her Lord. Her husband Ron predeceased her in 1973 and her second husband Dick in 1988. She is survived by her son R. Chris and his wife Lynn and children, Jared, Daniel and Katelyn, her son Stuart and his wife Gwen and their children, Chris, Andrew, Michael, Katie and Breanna; her daughter Lee and her husband Andre and their children, Riley, Bradyn and Desmond. They will sadly miss her. Mom was born in Saskatchewan and moved to Winnipeg at an early age where she resided in St. James for most of her life. As a child she was an accomplished tap and ballet dancer. In her teens she modeled for Eatons and was on their Junior Teen Fashion Council. In 1951 she married her high school sweetheart Ron. They were happily married until his untimely death. Mom worked in retail for many years until her retirement in 1994. She was exceptionally loving and generous to all that knew her, especially her children and grandchildren, who were the joy and pride of her latter years. The warmth of her love and the generosity of her spirit will live on in our hearts forever. A celebration of Marguerites life will take place on Wednesday, February 6, at 2:00 p.m. in the Assiniboia-Charleswood Community Church, 760 Charleswood Rd., with Pastor Brian Larmour officiating. A private family urn placement will be held in the Chapel of Eternal Memories Mausoleum, 1501 Waverley St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marguerites memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of MB, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3B 2H8 or The Arthritis Society, 105-386 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 3R6.
