MURIEL QUA Muriel Qua died suddenly at St. Boniface Hospital on February 1, 2002. Muriel was pre-deceased by her husband Bill (1987) her brother Roy; and a sister in infancy. She is survived by her son John (Karen) her daughter Pat Hallstead; her grandson Michael (Christi) Qua; and her beloved great-granddaughter Jillian. Also surviving are her brothers, Mel, Herb (Jean), and Clare (Sally) sister-in-law Elsie and their families; along with her dear cousin Myrtle Wolfe and her family. Muriel was born June 24, 1911 and raised on the family farm at Burnside near Portage la Prairie. She worked for MTS until marrying Bill. They then moved to Winnipeg and raised their family. They enjoyed summers at Falcon Lake, trailering across Canada and wintering in San Diego. After Bill died, Muriel took great pleasure attending activities at Prendergast Seniors. She will be deeply missed by family and friends and her beloved cat Tammy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Prendergast Seniors, 906 Cottonwood Rd., Winnipeg, MB, R2J 1G2 or Windsor Park United Church, 1062 Autumnwood Drive, Winnipeg, MB, R2J 1C7. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 5 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment to follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
