THOMAS MARTIN Thomas Martin died at the age of 87 in Portage la Prairie. He is survived by his wife Olive and son Gord. Tom was born in Winnipeg and lived much of his early years in the Oakville district. Tom served in the Second World War with the 38th LAA. He was a driver with Winnipeg Transit for over 20 years. He and Olive retired to "the Acre" in the 1970s, and moved to Portage in 1998. Tom made many friends through his sharp mind and fine sense of humour, but mostly through his good heart. Tom also emphatically stated his wish for no service, and that wish will be largely respected. To express your condolences, there could be nothing better than generous support of the Cancer Society, or a charity of your choice. Friends are welcome to drop by Dalton Estates common room, 851 Saskatchewan Ave. E., Portage la Prairie, Friday, February 8 anytime between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. to celebrate Toms life. The Omega Funeral Home, Portage la Prairie, in care of the arrangements. Friends may leave a message and sign the register book at our web site www.legacy.com "Where life stories live on."
