ROBERT LARRY DENIS JOHNSON After a week-long search, it is with great sadness the Johnson Family announces the passing of Robert Larry Denis Johnson at the age of 29, after a lengthy never-ending battle with Schizophrenia. Robert will be sadly missed but forever in our hearts. Hes our hero. Roberts memory will be cherished by his parents, Denis and Judy Johnson of Dufresne, MB; brother Randy (Laura) sisters, Christine McBeth (Grant), Tracy (Chris) of Winnipeg. He will also be greatly missed by the three greatest joys: nieces, Dana and Sara McBeth, and nephew Brent Bree; as well as his grandparents, Jean and Denise Johnson, and Anne and Art Wark; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, especially Clayton Votto for all his kindness to Rob, and Nolan Powell, his proctor and best friend. He was raised in Dufresne, MB on the family farm, where we all share fond memories. Rob attended church at the Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church, and was an altar boy there as well. Rob attended school in Lorette and Steinbach. His junior and senior high school years were difficult for Rob, as Schizophrenia had unfortunately entered his mind, and he had quite a struggle at times. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 9 at 10:30 a.m. at the Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church, Ste. Anne, MB. Rev. Fr. R. Chartier presiding. Cremation will follow. Private family interment at a later date. Active pallbearers will be Messers Clayton Votto, Nolan Powell, Gilbert Johnson, Mike Dumaine, Andy Jolicoeur, and Danny Johnson. At this time the family would like to express their appreciation to the District 5 Police Department, Winnipeg Missing Persons Unit, and Constable Kevin Kavitch for his compassion and concern for us at the scene when Rob was found. Thank you also to all the family and friends who helped search, gave support, and showed concern throughout this difficult time. May you never have to live with the effects of this disease, but may you learn to understand it. In lieu of flowers, donations in Robs memory may be sent to The Schizophrenia Society Inc. of Manitoba, 3 - 1000 Notre Dame Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0N3. KNYSH FUNERAL CHAPEL 1020 MAIN STREET 582-0973
