Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLAURA SIGUROSE GUNDERSON 1912 - 2002 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mother on February 6, 2002 at the Selkirk & District General Hospital. Laura was born in Hallson, ND on June 4, 1912 to Ed and Johanna Johnson. Prior to her short hospital stay, she resided at Red River Place in Selkirk. She moved to Selkirk in 1978 and before then she was a long time resident of Piney, MB. Laura leaves to mourn seven sons, Edward, Lloyd (Pat), Donald (Irene), Dennis (Judy), Carter (Linda), Raye (Beverly) and Murray; three daughters, Esther (Victor) Erickson, Donna (Ronald) Cayer and Carol (Ron) Bolin. Laura had 16 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Emily, Lilja, Anna, as well as numerous nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her husband Clarence Gunderson; sisters, Pauline, Runa, Gwen and brother Sig. Prayers were held on Thursday, February 7 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at the Evangelical Lutheran Church on Friday, February 8 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Stan Richards officiating. Interment took place at the Lutheran Cemetery in Selkirk. Pallbearers were her sons, Edward, Lloyd, Donald, Dennis, Raye and Murray. Honorary pallbearers was her son Carter Gunderson, David Gunderson, Greg Gunderson, Michael Cayer, Curtis Cayer, Brent Bolin, Chris and Jayme Gunderson. A special thanks to doctors and nurses at both the Red River Place Nursing Home and Selkirk General Hospital. Also a special thank you for all the gifts of flowers, baking goods, etc. that were given, all this was greatly appreciated. Special thanks to Pastor Stan Richards, Kayleen Valley and Richard Gunderson. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, in care of arrangements.
