Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPAUL LOTZ June 7, 1919 - February 6, 2002 On Wednesday, February 6, 2002 at the age of 72 years, Paul passed away after a brief illness and hospitalization. Paul was very much loved as a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be dearly missed and forever remembered by Theresa, his wife of 49 years, his daughters, June Kostur and her two children, Cindy (Ben) and Roman (Amanda), Irene Jaculak (Carlos) and her two children, Amanda and Ryan, Helen Fillion (Gil) and her two children, Jeff (Beth) and Jennifer, and Kathy Lotz-Dorsch and her two children, Mark and Trent; and his three sons, Robert, Jim and his wife Carolyn and their two children, Rena and Liza, and his youngest son, Mike. Paul was predeceased by his father Henry in 1977, and mother Anna in 1985, also his beloved daughter Mary in 1971 and his son-in-law; Douglas Jaculak in 1996. Paul is also survived by his sisters, Kay (Ernie) Smith, Anne Fritz, and Betty (Gordon) Greb; and his brothers, Henry (Herma), John (Ruby), and Jack (Nancy) as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Also, Pauls mother-in-law Christine Sessan and special mention to his favourite cousin Hans (Caroline) Lotz and his only great-grandchild Hailiegh Peterson-Kostur. Paul was born in Yugoslavia and came to Canada from Austria in 1950. He met Theresa on the ship immigrating to Canada and together they shared many years of happiness and hard times. Paul enjoyed his career as owner/operator of Pauls Lathing and Plastering and relished in the opportunity to make many new acquaintances and friends during his years in the business. Some of Pauls most enjoyable moments where those spent camping and taking his boat out fishing the waters of the Whiteshell, searching out the big one! His comments, I caught her, I caught her, but she got away, will ring in our ears and bring a smile to our face. Paul was a member of the Canadian German Society for 33 years and made many good friends during his association within this society. Paul enjoyed gardening and loved his canine companion Shadow whom he shared many special moments with since 1993. A thank you to Dr. Eng and also the nurses and staff at Seven Oaks Hospital, 5th Floor. Memorial service will be held on Monday, February 11 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Evangelical Luther Church, 2528 King Edward St., Winnipeg with Rev. Jan Pastucha officiating. A private family interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pauls memory to a charity of your choice. Always remembered, always cherished.
