Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRUDY CHARLES TEPPER February 13, 1928 - February 6, 2002 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Rudolf Charles, with his loving wife Nellie-Anne by his side, on the morning of February 6, 2002 at the Seven Oaks Hospital. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife and soulmate of four years, Nellie-Anne; stepchildren, Connie (Gary), Sandra (Paul), Billy (Lisa) and Tammy (Jim) stepgrandchildren, Kyle, Bradley, Darren, Sabrina, Dylan, Zakk, Cody and Chelsea; his sister Hildy Swanson and brother-in-law Peter of Dallas, TX; and numerous aunts, nephews and nieces. Rudy immigrated with his parents, Rudolf and Gertrud, to Canada from Dortmund, Germany in 1928. They settled in Winnipeg until they moved to the Clandeboye district where they farmed. Rudys favourite pastime was reading, playing accordion, and entertaining at Seniors homes with his band. Rudy will always be remembered as a kind, caring man with a great sense of humour who loved to laugh and visit with family and friends. The family wishes to thank the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital and also his roommate, a special man, Bernie Gozawsky, for his support and kindness. Prayers will be held on Sunday, February 10 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 11 at 10:00 a.m. in the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Selkirk, with Pastor Dave Saude officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. His pallbearers will be Jim Vickers, Ed Kamer, Larry Mabee, Lorne Massey, Wenzel Preun and Steve Jaslowski. God looked around His garden and found an empty space, He then looked down upon the earth and saw your tired face. He knew the road was getting rough, and the hills were hard to climb. So He closed your weary eyelids and whispered, "Peace be thine." It broke our hearts to lose you, But you did not go alone. For part of us went with you The day God called you home. Gilbart Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
