JOSEPH M. VERPLAETSE Peacefully at Beausejour Health Centre on Tuesday, February 5, 2002, Joseph Verplaetse passed away at the age of 89. Joe was born on August 27, 1912 and lived in St. Boniface all his life. Joe was predeceased by his wife Evelyn and later by his longtime friend and companion, Betty. Joe was the last immediate member of his family to pass away, being predeceased by his father and mother; brothers, Harry and Camille; sisters, Stephanie, Yvonne and Irma. Besides his many nieces and nephews, Joe leaves to mourn his passing, his sister-in-law Cecile Verplaetse, adopted family which he deeply cared for, his good friends and neighbours, Mrs. A. Hebert and Mr. L. Paquette. Cremation has taken place and a funeral service celebrating his life will take place Monday, February 11 at 11:00 a.m. in the Edward J.
