PERCY LEONARD BLACKWELL Percy Leonard Blackwell passed away with family present on January 30, 2002 at the age of 76 years. Percy will fondly be remembered by his loving companion Roberta, his loving children, son-in-law Terry, son Greg and daughter-in-law Carol, son Reg and daughter-in-law Audrey, daughter Karen; his grandchildren, Grant, Christi, Tracey, Adam, Cam, Nick, Lauren, Devon, Jon and Greg; his two great-grandsons, Hayden and Tyrus. Percy was predeceased by his wife Doreen and his daughter Susan. Percy worked in the insurance business and resided in Winnipeg from 1952 - 1992. Upon retirement Percy and Doreen moved to Qualicum Beach, BC. He will be forever missed and remembered as a generous and caring man, a father, grandfather, friend and companion. A family graveside service was held on February 2 at the Parksville Cemetery, and a celebration of life was held on February 3 at the Royal Canadian Legion, Bowser Branch #211. In lieu of flowers, donations would kindly be received by the British Columbia Lung Association, P.O. Box 34009 Station D, Vancouver, BC, V6J 9Z9. Arrangements were entrusted to the Parksville Funeral Chapel, Cemetery and Crematorium (250)248-4644.
