Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET MacLEOD (PATERSON) June 29, 1904 - Feb. 7, 2002 Born in Brue, on the Isle of Lewis, Scotland and died peacefully in Winnipeg. Margaret immigrated to Canada in 1922 and was a graduate of the Selkirk Mental Hospital School of Nursing. She was predeceased by her loving husband Norman, infant son Donald Norman, her parents, John and Mary Paterson (Campbell) sisters, Catherine, Peggy, and Effie; brothers, Angus John, Hugh and Norman; and by her beloved granddaughter Jennifer Foran. She is survived by and lovingly remembered by her children, Margaret Anne, Angus John (Gentan) and Catherine Mary; and by her ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, Allan Foran (Audrey) and their children Sarah, Hannah and Allan James; James MacLeod Foran (Mary), Neil Foran (Laura) and their children Samuel and William; Colin Foran, Christine Walker, Robert Walker (Lisa) and daughter Lauryn, Donald Walker, Susan Walker, Andrew MacLeod and Kate MacLeod. She will be sadly missed by her sister-in-law Peggy Paterson of 3 Brue and many nieces, nephews and relatives in Scotland, United States and Canada and by her dear friend Kate Cameron. She was a life member of the Manitoba Highland Dancers Association, The United Scottish Sons of Scotland and honorary Patron of the Clan MacLeod Society. She was a faithful and longtime member of First Presbyterian Church, Winnipeg. The family are grateful for the support provided to us and to mother by the staff of the Poseidon Person Care Centre, particularly the Pastoral Care department and by the fellowship of the Presbyterian Church and Scottish Community. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 11, at 1:00 p.m. in First Presbyterian Church, Canora at Picardy with Rev. Bruce A. Miles officiating. Viewing will be in church prior to the service.
