BEATRICE MARIE GRAVENOR Peacefully, on Friday, February 8, 2002, at Tuxedo Villa, Beatrice Marie Gravenor passed away at the age of 89 years. Bea was predeceased by her husband Howard in 1989. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Brian and Michael (Nina) her grand-children, Leigh, Michael, Daniel, Alexandra and Evan; and great-grandchild Emma Daisy. Bea was born in Devils Lake, ND, and came to Winnipeg at a very young age. She spent many wonderful summmers as a young girl at Grand Beach where her adoptive family owned Oakleigh Lodge. Bea married Howard in 1936 and they eventually settled in St. Vital where she raised her family and also worked for the Hudson Bay Company. Beas greatest love and pleasure were her family and friends. Bea had a special way about her. She cared for everyone she knew and had many wonderful friendships. She was indeed a wonderful, loving mother, devoted wife, and true friend who always saw the good side of people. All who knew her will cherish Beas memory. Bea was also an avid curler and lawn bowler, winning several provincial lawn bowling championships in the early 1980s. Bea and Howie were also active members of the St. Vital Legion. Special thanks to the wonderful staff at the Tuxedo Villa Station 3 (especially to Marcia) for their compassionate care of Bea. Cremation has taken place and friends may join the family at a reception celebrating Beas life on Wednesday, February 13 between the hours of 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. at the Edward J. Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald St. In care of arrangements: EDWARD J. COUTU LTD. 680 Archibald St. 253-5086
