ELIZABETH (BETTY) HAZEL MERLEVEDE (nee BRYNDZY) Peacefully on Sunday afternoon, February 10, 2002, at Victoria General Hospital, Betty Merlevede, beloved wife, devoted mother and loving grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. Bettys memory will be cherished by husband Gus; sons, Robert and Kirk; grandchildren, James and Heather; sister Edna McKinnon; sister-in-law Flo; nieces, Sheila (Don) Keatch and their two children, Michael and Erin, Diane Merlevede and Georgia Galas and her daughter Lisa; nephews, Dan (Mary-Lou) McKinnon, Robert and Bill Merlevede and Steve (Karen) Galas and their children Nick and Lauren and the Vandenheede family, Sue and Carry. Betty was born in Winnipeg, an avid gardener who loved the summers at Grand Beach and the many winter months spent within the warm rays of the sun in Orlando, FL. An exciting season of womens curling would often shorten these trips south. Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons St., on Thursday, February 14.
