Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMICHAEL PETASKI Peacefully on February 11, 2002 at the Selkirk General Hospital, Michael Petaski, aged 86 years, of Lockport, MB. Michael is survived by his wife Margaret; son Ron (Barbara) daughters, Sharon DeGroot (John), Doneta Pastetnik (Len) and Debbie Belcourt; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grand-children; five sisters, Helen Semenchuk, Blanche Donachuk (Sam), Pauline Banash, Mary Danko (Walter) and Angela Bunio; a brother Casimir Petaski (Mary) and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by a brother Joe Petaski; and sisters, Rose Bochen and Annie Onhaiser. Mike was born and raised in the Lockport area where he farmed all his life. He loved his family dearly and also enjoyed socializing with his many friends. Mike was a very positive person and kept this outlook right to the end. Prayers will be said on Thursday, February 14 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, February 15 at 10:30 a.m. in the Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church in Narol, MB, with Fr. Jerry Talarski officiating. Interment in the churchyard cemetery. His grandsons will be his pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Selkirk Palliative Care, care of Selkirk General Hospital. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, in care of arrangements.
