Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET (PEGGY) FRUCK (nee MARTENS) With sad and heavy hearts we announce the passing of our dear mother and grand-mother Peggy Fruck. Mom went to be with her much loved Lord and Saviour on February 11, 2002 at the Carman Memorial Hospital. Mom was born October 25, 1920 at Plum Coulee, MB to Abram and Margaret Martens. >From Plum Coulee her family moved to Roland and then to Haywood. In the 1930s Mom moved to Fannystelle where she was employed on several farms. It was there that she met Dad and they were married October 11, 1940. They farmed south of Fannystelle until moving to Elm Creek in 1962 where Mom resided until her death. Mom had a tremendous love for her God and was a very faithful servant. She served Him every day of her life. Mom sang in the choir, taught Sunday School and held several positions in the ladies church group, the ELCW. Mom was very dedicated and had so much love for her family, relatives, and friends who were always welcome in her home. Mom was predeceased by her husband Bill in 2000, her father Abram in 1965, mother Margaret in 1956, brother Jake, and sister Susan in 1994. Left to mourn her passing are her sons, Ernie, Jim, and Ken (Sandra) daughter Kathy (Sonny) Twiss; seven grandchildren, Danny (Kim), Arlus (Julie), Rhonda (Larry), Aaron, Chris (Roxanne), Darrell (Solesta), and Dianne (Donny) five great-grandchildren, Janell, Austin, Dylan, Jaden and Devon. She is also survived by her brothers, Abe, Johnny (Carol), and Harry (Nettie) sisters, Nettie (Eric) Nicholson, and Helen Giesbrecht; sisters-in-law, Elsie Underwood, Joyce Fruck, and Lily Sherritt; and by many nephews, nieces, and cousins; and special niece Eileen and Kermit Olson. Prayers will be held at Doyles Funeral Home in Carman on Sunday, February 17 at 3:30 p.m. Funeral service will be on Monday, February 18 at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, Carman, MB with interment at Elm Creek Cemetery.
