Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN (JACK) LUMSDEN John (Jack) Lumsden passed away at Concordia Hospital on February 11, 2002. Jack was a resident of Donwood Manor Personal Care Home. Born in Winnipeg in 1913, Jack started his career at the Grain Exchange at the age of 14 and worked in the grain business for 56 years, 49 years as an independent broker. He was a member of the Dormer Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rite, and the Khartum Shrine Temple. Jack was a longtime member of the Elmwood Curling Club. He was a loving husband and father, and a proud grandfather and great-grandfather who had a delightful sense of humour and fun. Jack is survived by his wife of 67 years, Christina (Chris), son Jack (Donna), daughter Heather (Wayne), grandchildren, Kathryn (Paul), James (Micheline), and Michelle (Rob) and great-grandchildren, Zachary and Gillian. Also survived by brother Len and many loving nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents and brothers, Harry, Bill, Stuart, and Frank; and sisters, Margaret and Dot. Flowers gratefully declined. If friends so desire, they may make a donation to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba or a charity of their choice. Cremation has taken place and a funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 14 at 11:00 a.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
