ANNE MORRIS (nee PELECH) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Anne, on Wednesday, February 13, 2002 at the age of 85 years. Anne was predeceased by her husband, Walter in 1980, by her identical twin Nettie, sister Mary, brother Andy, and son-in-law Jim Richardson. Left to cherish her memory are her children and grandchildren; Walter (Barbara), Victoria, Paul and Mark; Barbara Baturin (Jack), Dawne and David; Betty Richardson, Michael and Matthew; Tom (Elaine), Nick and Simon; Bob (Susane) Cathy Bay (Bruce), Drew and Evan; great-grandchildren McKinley, Jesse, James, Krysten and Emily. She also leaves her loving sisters Kay Hardman and Tanis Williams, and many caring nieces and nephews, especially Diane Skalenda and Cindy and Gary Light. Mom was born on January 10, 1917 in Winnipeg. She met and married Walter in 1936 and they settled happily in East Kildonan, where they raised their six children. In 1962, she began a career at Eatons, which lasted over twenty years. Mom was past-president of the Holy Eucharist UCWL, and for many years a faithful parishioner of St. Alphonsus Church and member of the CWL. Mom was truly devoted to her faith. Moms greatest love and pleasure were her family and friends. Mom cared for everyone she knew. She was indeed a devoted wife, a wonderful, loving mother and grandmother, and true friend, who always saw the good side of people. Her kindness and generosity left an indelible impression on all who knew her. Mom was a lovely lady, with a heart of gold. Prayers will be held on Friday, February 15 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, Munroe Ave. and Brazier St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 16 at 10:00 a.m. also at the church. Interment will follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons David, Paul, Mark, Michael, Nick, Matthew and Simon; honourary pallbearers are grandsons Drew, and Evan; great-grandsons Jesse and James. Flowers are gratefully declined, donations in Annes memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or charity of choice. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
