BELLA SWICK A TRUE WOMAN OF VALOUR
Date of Passing: Feb 13, 2002
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBELLA SWICK A TRUE WOMAN OF VALOUR Passed away peacefully after a brief illness on February 13, 2002. She endured tremendous hardships and suffering throughout her life. Uprooted from her native Russia, she fled with Dad to Uzbekistan. She always spoke of their escape to Germany and walking through the mountains of Czechoslovakia. In 1948, they arrived in Winnipeg to start a new life. Her courage again prevailed and Mom and Dad went into business for themselves. The grocery store on Sherbrook, 520 Airlies, and then the canteen at the Sharon Home kept Mom busy. She still had time to do volunteer work and raise her family in the Jewish tradition. Nothing pleased Mom more than running into a former customer and chatting with them. Mom was a sweet gentle soul who touched the lives of all who knew her. Janis, Maya and Elan will sadly miss her. Her memory will live on in our hearts. Special thanks to the staff at Palliative Care Riverview. You do make a difference! Thank you to all our friends who visited Mom and supported our family through this difficult time. Donations in Moms memory may be made to Palliative Care Unit - Riverview Health Centre. Rest in peace. We love you!
