PATRICIA MARY BOWERING (nee BAILEY) March 18, 1925 - January 28, 2002 On January 28, Pat Bowering passed away at the age of 76 years in St. Josephs Auxiliary Hospital in Edmonton, following a brief but unsuccessful battle with cancer. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 56 years (Harry), children, Susan, and David (Connie) of Edmonton, and Laurie (Winnipeg). Twin granddaughters, Danielle (St. Albert) and Melissa (Edmonton). In-laws: Vera Hand (Winnipeg), Dorothy and John Keane (Victoria). Niece and god-daughter Penny LeNeveu; nephews: Mark and Jeff Hand, Gerald Keane, and niece Terry McLean. Pat was predeceased by her parents, Octavia and William Bailey, and older sisters Ruth Bailey and Betty Lewis. At Pats request, there will not be a traditional funeral service. Instead, we are holding a Celebration of Pats Life on Saturday, February 23 at the Church of Abundant Life, 5329-91st St. in Edmonton, beginning at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Reg Graves officiating. Cremation has taken place. Flowers are gratefully declined. If family and friends choose, a donation may be made in Pats memory to St. Josephs Auxiliary Hospital, 10707-29th Ave., Edmonton, AB T6J 6W1, or The Cross Cancer Institute, 11560 University Ave., Edmonton, AB T6G 1Z2. She will be deeply missed by all of us and will remain forever in our hearts.
