NELLIE NAROZNIAK 1915 - 2002 Nellie Narozniak passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 14, 2002, at the Holy Family Nursing Home at the age of 86 years. Nellie was predeceased by her husband John; infant daughter Marie; daughter Darlene; her parents, Theodore and Caroline Zelinski; brother Bill; sisters, Jean and Rose. Mum was the last surviving member of her family. She leaves to mourn her passing and to cherish her memory her son Fred (Nettie) daughter Valerie Morrow (Dudley) daughter Yvonne Currie (Allan) numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and two sisters-in-law. Nellie was born and raised in the Okno area (Arborg), until she came to Winnipeg in 1931, where she met and married John. Nellie was a very creative person and enjoyed working with her hands. Although the owners of the Ranch House changed many times over the years, Mum (Nellie) remained the chef for 28 years retiring in 1989. It was her secret rib sauce recipe that brought people back to the Ranch House time and time again. Nellies greatest happiness was derived from her children and grandchildren. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the staff of Holy Family Nursing Home, St. Francis Unit, for the excellent care given and compassion shown to our mother during her four year stay. Special thanks to Sheila, Helen, Anna Marie, Mag, Maria, Wanda, Sophie, Pat, Sister Monica, Sister Joanne, and Veronica. Prayers will be held on Sunday, February 17 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 18 at 10:00 a.m., also at the Chapel, with Fr.
