DAWN LESLIE MacKAY KLAASSEN (BRODIE) Surrounded by her loving family, Dawn passed away peacefully in Regina on February 9, 2002. Born in Winnipeg on ApDaniel, Robyn, and Shaun Brodie; Bruces children, Derek and Andrew Klaril 29, 1953, Dawn is survived by her husband Bruce Klaassen, her three children, assen; and Dawns former husband, Glen Brodie. Dawn is also survived by her father Neil (Alice) MacKay of Halfmoon Bay, BC, her eldest brother Murray (Carol) MacKay of Winnipeg; her sisters, Colleen (Phil) Mewett of Plano, TX, Kim (Bill) Terry of Tucson, AZ, and Shannon MacKay of Winnipeg; her younger brother, Rob (Brianne) of Winnipeg; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother, Beatrice MacKay in 1997. Dawn will be dearly missed by her many friends and relatives, particularly the Brodie family (Winnipeg) her co-workers at Sears (Regina) and members of Heritage United Church (Regina). A celebration of Dawns life was held on February 11 at Heritage United Church. On February 12, Dawn was laid to rest next to her mother in Verwood Cemetery, Verwood, SK. The family extends sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses, home care support, and staff at Reginas Pasqua Hospital for their care and kindness throughout Dawns illness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Winnipeg Humane Society.
