KATHLEEN ELENORE HARLING (PLOUFFE) Suddenly, in the early morning of Sunday, February 17, 2002, Kathleen Harling, aged 73, passed away peacefully at the Victoria Hospital. Kathleen was pre-deceased by her husband George in March of 1985 and her son Kenneth in March of 2000. She was also predeceased by her parents, two brothers, and one sister. Mom was born on May 7, 1928, in Winnipeg where she lived all her life surrounded by her family and friends. Mom liked to bowl and curl. She had many fond memories of all the friends she made and all the great times they had together playing in their leagues, tournaments and bonspiels. She also had lots of fun with her friends in their crafts club. Mom will be sadly and lovingly missed by her daughter Wendy and favourite son-in-law Les Heinrichs, grandson Josh Heinrichs and granddaughters, Nicole and Stacey Harling; sister Verda (Henry) Lagimodiere; brothers, Ted (Isabel) Plouffe, Vic (Joan) Plouffe, Terry (Val) Moore; along with many nieces, nephews, and many friends. She will be forever loved in the memories of her grandchildren. The family wishes to extend its sincere thanks to the Winnipeg Fire and Paramedic Services and the staff of the emergency department at the Victoria Hospital. Flowers are gratefully declined. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will take place on Thursday, February 21 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. A reception will follow in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre.
