CLAUDETTE MARIE PLANTE (DEROSIERS) July 21, 1942 - February 17, 2002 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear wife, mother and grandmother, Claudette. Her memory will forever be cherished by her husband of 41 years, Hugues Plante; her four children, Roxanne (Darryl) Hildebrand, Nancy (Shawn) Girardeau, Richard Plante, Caroline Plante and the three greatest joys and brightest stars of her life, her granddaughters, Meaghan, Rachelle and Gabrielle. Mom will also sadly be missed by her mother-in-law Henriette Plante in Quebec; her sisters in the US, brothers and sisters-in-law in Quebec; numerous nieces and nephews and many dear friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Willie and Caroline Derosiers; two daughters, Claudine and Marie; her father-in-law Marie-Louis Plante; four brothers, one sister and one brother-in-law. The family would like to thank all her doctors and nurses at both The Health Sciences Centre and St. Boniface Hospital, in particular the staff on the Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface for making her last week comfortable. Thanks also to moms home nurse, Myrna and her friends who have been there from the beginning of her illness, especially Rejean and Raymonde Poulin, and an extra thank you to Denise Goodings for being there for mom, most of all at the end. Cremation has already taken place and memorial services will be held Saturday, February 23, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. at the Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Desmeurons St., in St. Boniface.
