Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLAWRENCE (LARRY) KOROL It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Larry Korol on Saturday, February 23, 2002 at the Concordia Hospital at the age of 68 years. Besides his loving wife Gerry, Larry will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his son Lorne and granddaughter Jessica; two sisters, Anna Hull and Jean Crook; three brothers, Peter (Rose), Wally (Blanche) and Joe; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Larry was born on March 12, 1933 in Winnipeg and was employed by the River East School Division as a Maintenance Driver for many years. For 30 years the family enjoyed many special times together with friends at their trailer on Sunflower Alley at the Oasis. He was an avid sports fan and thoroughly enjoyed seeing his son Lorne playing hockey, football and baseball and most recently enjoyed his grand-daughter Jessicas entry into soccer and hockey. Larrys love of his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ was evident in his daily walk with family and friends. His faith was most evident in his recent remarkable recovery from a stroke. He was an encouragement to all. The family wishes to thank the staff at Concordia Hospital, Brother Jorge Villegas, O.F.M., Cap. and Pastor Loren Pullman for all their care, prayers and support. A special thanks to Hank Partyka, his best friend since childhood. A celebration of Larrys life will take place at the Memorial Prayers on Tuesday, February 26 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, Munroe and Brazier, with memorial mass on Wednesday, February 27 at 11:00 a.m. also at the Church with Brother Jorge Villegas, O.F.M., Cap. officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Larrys memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3B 2H8.
