BARRY PALMER November 28, 1937 - February 18, 2002 Peacefully, on Monday, February 18, 2002, Barry Palmer passed away at the age of 64, as family stood lovingly by his side. Barry was born in Tunshil Milnrow, England and came to Winnipeg in 1947. He lived in the North End and in North Kildonan, where he raised his family. Barry worked at the Winnipeg General Hospital for 12 years and since 1973 he worked for Cropo Funeral Chapel, where he excelled in serving families during their time of grief. Barry was a hockey and soccer coach, a volunteer fireman and member and president of the Eagles Sunday Night Bowling - FOE Aries 23. He enjoyed sports, and especially fishing. Barry enjoyed being with family and friends. Left to cherish his memory is his mother Annie (Nan) Palmer, mother-in-law Emma Malmas, wife Carol, and children, Cheryl, Michael (Jo-Anne), Joe (Wanda), and Kathy (Jim) step-children, Beverley (Cassie), Barb, Maria (Dan), Theresa (Steve), and Lisa (Rick) grandchildren, Ashley, Brittany, Kyle, Erika, Kendra, Taylor, Maggie, Riley and Carter; brothers, Rex (Carol), and Keith (Jeanette) and a very special sister Maxine (Jerry). He is also survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Nels (Janet), Jenny (Walter), Lennea, Signe, George, Esther, Alma, and Elsie (Graham) and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Walter and brother Ronnie. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Concordia Hospital for their kind care and attention during the past year. Prayers will be held on Thursday, February 21 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 22 at 2:00 p.m. also at the chapel with Pastor Rick Sauer officiating. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jason and Steven Kozubal, Jad Dick, Rick Millar, Dan Pagani and Steve Fedirko. WE LOVE YOU GRAMPS CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
