Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCYRIL (SID) HARMAN Sid passed away peacefully on February 14, 2002, in Vancouver, BC, at the age of 86 years. He survived his beloved wife Doreen by two years and leaves behind his daughter Sharon (Paul), granddaughters, Shelly (Denis) and Christi, and great-granddaughter Carley. He will also be missed by his sister Phyllis, his nieces and nephews, his in-laws in Winnipeg, and many dear friends. Sid was born is Estavan, SK, and came to settle in Winnipeg with his wife Doreen after serving in the Canadian Navy during the Second World War. He worked for the CP Rail for over 43 years, built his home and cottage and along with Doreen raised their daughter Sharon. During their retirement years Sid and Doreen spent their winters in Sebring, FL, and their summers in Falcon Lake. In 1996, Sid and Doreen moved to BC to be closer to their family. Sid was a poet, a carpenter, a practical jokester and one heck of a guy. A celebration of his life will be held in Winnipeg on Friday, February 22 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the No. 4 Legion, 1755 Portage Ave., St. James. Cremation has taken place.
