Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM (BILL-HERO) LAGIMODIERE September 19, 1919 - February 17, 2002 Peacefully at home with dignity following a short battle with lung cancer, with his family at his side, Dad went on to be with Mom on February 17, 2002. He will be lovingly and sadly missed by his children, Donald (Linda) from BC, Fred (Rita), Joanne (Paul) from Dufresne; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Norm (Barb), Jim (Irene) and little sister Claudette. Bill was predeceased by his wife Priscilla of 47 years, his parents, brother Don, two sisters, Shirley and Marguerite. He proudly served his country in the Second World War, from 1939 to his discharge January 8, 1946 in Winnipeg. He was awarded six medals for respect of service during the war, 1939 - 1945 Star, Italy Star, France and Germany Star, Defence Medal, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and the Clasp. Other Active Army Service (This War) N.R.M.A. from March 1941 to August 11, 1941. He then moved to Dufresne where he married the love of his life Priscilla Lavallee on October 11, 1946. He started a dairy farm where he raised his family. He was married for 47 years. Dad had a great passion for hunting and fishing. When Dad retired he and Mom moved only acres away from the farm, where he lived on until his death. He was a long time member of the Ste Annes Legion. The family would like to express their appreciation and thanks to Dads family physician Dr. Gobeil, the nursing staff at the Ste Annes Hospital and all the homecare givers. The family would like to express sincere gratitude to Jeannine and Freddy Allard for their very special friendship and for always being there for him. Cremation and a Memorial Service will take place at the Ste Anne Legion in Ste. Annes, MB on Friday, February 22 at 2:30 p.m. The Honorary Pallbearers will be the grandchildren, Angelina (John), Richard, Martin, Angeline (Rick). Dad have Fun!!! Bon Voyage!!!
