Offer Condolences or MemoryREVEREND HAROLD KARL PARNO After a lengthy illness, Harold K. Parno passed away on Monday, February 18, 2002, at St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 73 years. Harold was predeceased by his parents, Emil and Wilhelmina; and brothers, William, Edward, and Paul. Harold leaves to cherish his memory his wife Evelyne, daughter Ellen Smith (Wayne), son Mark (Wilma), and daughter Lisa Crozier (Alvin), grandson Jason Smith; sisters, Ida and Frieda in British Columbia; brothers, Otto of Ontario and Alfred in British Columbia; and numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Harold was born in Neudorf, SK, June 23, 1928. He attended Lutheran College in Regina in 1944 followed by studies at the University of Saskatchewan, then Lutheran Seminary in Saskatoon where he graduated in 1954. He was ordained a Lutheran Pastor in Chiliwack, BC in 1954. He served congregations in Whitemouth, MB, Riverhills, MB, Lampman, SK, Woodley, SK, Alameda, SK, Winnipeg and Ostenfeld, MB. Viewing and prayers will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 20 at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave., Aubrey Street entrance. Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 21 at Sherwood Park Lutheran Church, 7 Tudor Cres. Interment in Ostenfeld Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations may be made to Sherwood Park Lutheran Church. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses of the Concordia and St. Boniface Hospitals, and especially Unit 5 North of the Bethania Personal Care Home for their kindness and loving care.
