MARY VAN DEN BOSCH Peacefully at the Swan Lake Hospital on Sunday, February 17, 2002, Mary Van Den Bosch of Manitou, MB, widow of the late Albert Van Den Bosch, passed away at the age of 77 years. She leaves to mourn her passing her six children, George of Winnipeg, daughter-in-law Loris Loewen of Winnipeg, Michael and wife Sheron of Winnipeg, Joan and husband James Alty of Winnipeg, Ken and wife Patricia of Vancouver, Dave and wife Brenda of Calgary and Shirley of Calgary. 15 grandchildren, Casey, Stephanie, Karen, Jennifer (Robert Van Ginkel), Yvonne, Nicole, Michael, Timothy, Blake, Brooke, Sean, Cole, Drew, Madison and Haley. Four great-grandchildren, Victoria, Rebecca, Matthew and Jessica. Also left are two sisters and one brother, Clarice Buydens, Julia Gerland and Andre van der Vennet; and in-laws, Terry van der Vennet, Irma De Baets, Julia Timmerman, Mary Van Hulle and Martha Ketsman; as well as many other relatives and friends. Mary was a loving and caring wife and mother, and a major instigator and active participant in the farm enterprise with Albert. Early life was hard for Mary with her fathers death when she was eight in the middle of the Great Depression. Nonetheless she persevered and had a happy life until Alberts passing in 1999. She took great pride in her children. She will be much missed by many. Prayers will be said at Adams Funeral Home on Friday, February 22 at 7:00 p.m., Funeral mass will be co-celebrated by Fr. Firmin Michiels and Fr. Romuald Szumierz at St. Patricks Roman Catholic Church, Fuller Street, Manitou on Saturday, February 23 at 2:00 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, friends of family may send memorial donations to the Lorne Memorial Hospital Palliative Care Unit, Box 40, Swan Lake, MB, ROG 2S0.
